Happy 2-month birthday!

Yesterday was my little boy's 2-month birthday. Oh how time flies! Jude went for his 2-month check-up yesterday. He is in the 75th percentile for his height and weight. He is now 12 lbs. 6 oz. and 23 inches long. I can't believe how big he is! It doesn't seem like that long ago I was blogging about being pregnant, and now my baby is 2-months-old! Wow!

Look how much he's changed!
Here he is just one day old

Here he is now

I just can't believe it!

At yesterday's check-up, Jude had to get his first series of vaccinations. He did surprisingly well with the shot, he didn't scream, he just kind of whined a little. But afterwards, the shots really started to bother him. He was really fussy and had a slight fever. He was so tired and wanted to sleep so badly, but every time he would dose off, he would wake up and start crying. He just cried and cried in between doses of Tylenol last night and there was little I could do to comfort him. It was a terrible feeling. I just felt so sorry for him and I would have done anything to make him feel better. I don't know what I'm going to do the first time he gets sick. I will just be a wreck! This morning before I left for work, I took his temperature and it was just a little above normal. Now all I can think is...what if it gets higher, what if he gets sick, I hope he's okay. I know he'll be fine, but it still makes you feel helpless when your baby doesn't feel good and you can't make it all better.

On a brighter note, now that Jude is getting older, he is really starting to interact with us more. It is so much fun! He smiles, coos, laughs and even tries to mimic the sounds we make. When he hears his daddy's voice or mine, he just lights up. As a parent, that is one of the best feelings I've had so far. Jude is getting really good at holding his head up, too. It's so funny to watch him have tummy time. He tries so hard to roll over and gets frustrated when he can't do it. He is so close! I just know he'll do it any day now. I'll be sure to let you know when he does.
