Some research was done that determined that the girl scouts identify with and have a desire to work with young men and women, particularly those in their twenties. So a new young professional(yp) group was born. It's called Spectrum and is the yp group of the Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri.
As a member of Spectrum, you'll be able to connect with other women and men who are interested in volunteering. They host quarterly social events that are a great way to network with this growing group and introduce friends to the Girl Scout community.
Spectrum members are interested in learning, volunteering, and advocating for the Girl Scouts. Volunteer opportunities range from becoming a troop leader to speaking out against violence in schools to serving as a lifeguard at one of their Summer Larks. No matter what your schedule, there are opportunities to help girls build character and skills for success in the real world. You can help these girls develop qualities that will serve them all their lives, like leadership, strong values, social conscience, and conviction about their own potential and self-worth.
The girls are ready to be inspired by you. Are you ready?
