Me & Carissa
Yes, it can happen to you! Carissa Sweigart, a new-ish St. Louisan and sales rep for Sam Adams is having her beer brewed and sold on store shelves all across America. She won a homebrewing competition sponsored by The Boston Beer Company (brewers of Sam Adams).
Carissa tells me all 800 Sam Adams employees entered along with 10 thousand Joe Publics. This was Carissa's very first homebrewing competetion and her Cranberry Wit won the 2008 employee competition.
If you want to enter the contest by doing a little homebrewing and have a chance to have your face on a beer, go to http://www.samueladams.com/ for more information!
Carissa officially launched her beer last Wednesday at Cicero's beer school. This was the first I'd heard of it but what a neat event! Cicero's has their beer school every Wednesday (during the school year) from 5:30-6:30p, appetizers are half off, there is a different teacher every week and typically about 4 beers are tasted. The school is free, just sign up at the door when you show up!
