2 In custody following police pursuit across Metro area

 ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV)—Two suspects are in custody after they fled from police in Brooklyn, crashing their car in downtown St. Louis early Wednesday morning.

According to Brooklyn police, the incident started when a witness reportedly spotted a weapon inside the suspects’ car at the intersection of Route 3 and Jefferson.

Police say officers made an attempt to pull the suspects’ vehicle over around 3 a.m., but the suspects fled from the officers.

A chase ensued, ending at Interstate 70 and the Madison Road Exit when the suspects crashed their vehicle.

There are no reports of injuries from the crash.

Officers on scene were able to take two suspects into custody. Charges of eluding police are currently pending.
