Lynn to fill in for injured Westbrook

ST. LOUIS (BaseballStL) – Jake Westbrook will not make his next scheduled start due to an oblique injury he suffered on September 8.

Lance Lynn will take Westbrook’s place in the rotation and will start Thursday against the Dodgers in Los Angeles.

Westbrook has not been sharp in his last four starts allowing 17 earned runs in 20.1 innings since August 23.  He is 13-11 with a 3.97 ERA in 28 starts this season.
