Injury bug keeps biting: Fisher and Gooden out for ASU

COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMOV) – Missouri left tackle Elvis Fisher and linebacker Zaviar Gooden have been officially ruled out for Saturday’s game against the Arizona State Sun Devils, according to the team’s updated depth chart released Monday.

Justin Britt, a 315-pound junior, will start in Fisher’s place. Junior Donovan Brown will take over for Gooden.

Fisher was carted off with an apparent right knee injury in the second quarter of the school’s SEC debut against No. 7 Georgia.
The senior was hurt in a pileup on a running play and left the field with help from trainers favoring the leg.

Gooden left the game with a hamstring injury and was seen icing his leg on the sideline in the second half.

There is no timetable listed for their returns.
