ROLLA, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- A concerned citizen helped lead police to the suspects accused of robbing a convenience store back on September 1 in Rolla, Missouri.
Officials say they were called to the Delano Convenience Store at 9:40 p.m. on September 1. According to reports, a male suspect entered the store sprayed mace the clerk's face, robbed her at gun point, took an unknown amount of money and fled the scene. Police arrived and search the store extensively, however they were not able to locate the suspect.
Police say they were able to catch the 2 suspects on September 7 following a tip from a citizen. At 4:30 that Friday, the Rolla Police Department's SWAT Team executed a search warrant in the 600 block of Dover Court and were able to take Robert Walker, 42, and Dawn McClain, 32, into custody.
While carrying out their search, Detectives found evidence which was used during the robbery. The items included clothing, firearms, ammunition, pepper spray and an undetermined amount of money.
Walker and McClain were both arrested and charged with 1st degree robbery. Both are currently in custody at the Phelps County Jail.
