Two shooting incidents rattle one south side neighborhood

St. Louis (KMOV) – St. Louis police are trying to determine is a series of shootings in the same south side neighborhood Thursday afternoon are related.

The first attack happened just after noon in the 3500 block of Minnesota in the Gravois Park Neighborhood.

Police say a masked gunman, hiding in a gangway across from the 19-year-old victim’s house, fired four shots at the young woman. The teenager was not injured.

Authorities say the gunman was a black male wearing a black athletic tank top, black pants and a black mask over his face.

About six hours later and one block away investigators say a 29-year-old man was standing in the 3600 block of Minnesota when a suspect approached on foot, pulled a gun and started shooting.

The victim took two bullets to the shoulder.

In this case the suspect is described as a black male in his 20s with short hair.

The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition, the gunman is on the run, the investigation is ongoing.
