POPLAR BLUFF, Mo (KMOV.com) -- The Poplar Bluff Police Department is currently investigating a kidnapping and forcible rape which was committed late Tuesday night.
The victim, a 19-year-old female, was reported missing by her mother at 11:00 pm; in the mid-morning, she was able to use her cell phone to call a friend.
She gave her friend directions to her location, and she was picked up and brought to the Police Department.
The victim identified her abductor as Stephan “Wayne” Anderson, 30, of Poplar Bluff. The investigation of this offense is ongoing.
An arrest warrant was issued for Anderson for the charges of felonious restraint, rape, sodomy, and robbery. Bond was set at $100,000.00.
Anyone with information about Anderson’s whereabouts is encouraged to contact their local law enforcement agency immediately. Anderson should be considered armed and dangerous.
