ST. LOUIS (AP) -- The recovery in housing prices is apparently under way in the St. Louis region.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that home prices in the region rose 2.5 percent between June and July. Full figures for August are not yet available from CoreLogic.
Last month, the Federal Housing Finance Agency reported that prices in St. Louis rose nearly 3.3 percent in the second quarter of 2012 -- the biggest three-month increase since the agency began keeping tabs in 1991.
Nationally, CoreLogic says prices rose 1.3 percent from June to July, and July’s prices were 3.8 percent higher than the same month in 2011.
