O'Fallon, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- Players and parents say it was a close call in O'Fallon, Missouri. Minutes after a boys soccer game ended at Fort Zumwalt North High School, strong winds blew the soccer goals across the field.  One was left mangled and the other sent flying into nearby trees.

Kelly Rector's son plays on the team. She had just left the game and arrived at her house near the school when the strong winds hit.

"The whole house kind of shook and alarms started going off," said Rector.  "If it had hit 15 more minutes there could have been quite a lot more damage with the fans and players on the field."

News 4 meteorologists reported a probable tornado in O'Fallon. That report will have to be confirmed by the National Weather Service.  There was more damage at the high school.  A large tree was knocked down and there was damage to other athletic fields.

There were more reports of trees down, mainly along Highway 79 north of the high school.

Police and emergency management told News 4 there were no reports of injuries.
