COLUMBIA, Mo. (Missouri Football App) -- There have been many changes at the University of Missouri throughout the past year and Saturday’s football game is just the start.
The Missouri Tigers Football team plays the Southeastern Louisiana Lions on Saturday evening. Kickoff is set for 6 p.m. and the hype around Mizzou’s campus is growing.
This game will be Mizzou’s first game as a member of the Southeastern Conference and the university has added some signs to show the school’s excitement. There are two new Tiger signs hanging up around campus. The turf at Faurot Field has been replaced and now displays a “SEC” emblem proudly.
The first game on Saturday will be the first game for nationally recognized impact freshman Dorial Green-Beckham. Green-Beckham, from Springfield, Missouri, will wear jersey number 15 and is expected to be on the receiving end of many passes from junior quarterback James Franklin. Much of the Tigers success this season will rest on the shoulders of Franklin, Green-Beckham and other impact players as they enter a conference known for its speed, athleticism and competitiveness.
