EDWARDSVILLE, Il. (KMOV.com) – The Edwardsville Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance with locating a man wanted for a bank robbery on Thursday afternoon.
A white male reportedly approached a teller at the U.S. Bank located inside the Schnucks Supermarket, located in the 2200 block of Troy Road, around 1:30 p.m. and handed a note demanding money. The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of money.
The suspect was described as six feet tall, weighs 210 to 220 pounds in his mid to late 20s in age. The suspect had a stocky build and was wearing a maroon ball cap, dark Oakley sunglasses, long sleeve denim shirt and jeans.
No weapon was displayed during the incident.
He is also believed to have robbed a U.S. Bank, located in the 500 block of Beltline, in Collinsville nearly a half hour later.
