EUREKA, Mo. (KMOV) – A former 19-year-old Six Flags employee has been charged with spying on two 13-year-old girls as they changed clothes near a ride on August 8.

Jeremy Bates was charged with second-degree invasion of privacy of multiple individuals, a felony.

Police said a mother of one of the two teens saw Bates watching the girls through an opening between the wall and door frame of a dressing room near the Monsoon Marge’s gift shop in Hurricane Harbor.

The mother told Six Flags staff, who later provided police with surveillance video of Bates watching the girls from the gift shop.

Police questioned Bates who admitted to watching the teens as they changed. He was arrested and released later that day.

Six Flags released a statement after the arrest saying the theme park was cooperating with authorities in the investigation.

“The safety and well-being of our guests is our top priority and we have zero tolerance for any inappropriate behavior,” the statement read. “Local authorities are now handling the situation and the employee has been suspended pending the outcome of the investigation. We have no additional information to share at this time.”

Bates' bond has not yet been set.
