LONDELL, Mo. (KMOV.com) – Police responded to a home in Lonedell, Missouri Wednesday after a 41-year-old man called and claimed his wife stabbed him in the leg.
Deputies responded to a home in the 200 block of Wild Turkey Lane Police after receiving a call for help around 11:00 p.m.
Upon their arrival, officers located the man, who a severe stab wound to his upper leg. He also had injuries to his stomach.
Although the victim claimed his wife stabbed him, authorities have not yet determined how the victim’s injuries occurred. He was taken to an area hospital for treatment.
The wife was taken into custody for suspicion of first-degree assault.
Responding officers said the victim and his wife were very incoherent when they arrived. One witness reported methamphetamine use during the evening. Authorities also believe other people had been at the residence prior to their arrival.
Investigators said a number of children were found in and near the house, but they were not harmed.
Other individuals who may have been involved or witnessed the incident are currently being sought for questioning.
An investigation is ongoing.
