WEBSTER GROVES, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- Drivers in one St. Louis suburb may have to leave a little earlier for their morning commute.
MoDOT will be closing the on-ramp from Elm Avenue to Interstate 44 in Webster Groves for construction. The on-ramp is just down the street from the Murdoch Avenue Bridge, also closed for a separate construction project.
MoDOT officials say a retaining wall at the Elm Avenue ramp is deteriorating, and has become a public safety issue for drivers. Crews will replace the wall, a project officials say should take about six weeks.
For now, drivers can take either Big Bend Boulevard or Watson Road to access the interstate.
