St. Peters Walmart evacuated after bomb threat

ST. PETERS, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- Police evacuated at least six Walmart stores across Missouri, including one in St. Peters, after reports of a bomb threat Friday night.

Police evacuated customers from the St. Peters Walmart, located at 1661 Jungermann Road, just after 8 p.m. The store reopened about an hour later, after investigators found no trace of explosives in the building.

Officials said the bomb threats were made to individual Walmart stores across the state, including Nixa, Ozark, Gladstone, Raytown, and Jefferson City.

According to reports from KCTV5, two Walmart stores near Kansas City were evacuated around 7 p.m. Friday.

St. Peters police say investigators will work with other agencies to determine whether the threats are related.
