ST. LOUIS (KMOV) – A St. Louis city building inspector was arrested Friday on accusations he accepted bribes on the job.

Anthony Davis, 47, was charged with two counts of felony bribery.

According to officials, Davis was indicted for soliciting and accepting bribes related to inspecting buildings and issuing permits for buildings within St. Louis city limits.

The indictment says Davis accepted a total of more than $2,000 in bribes on two separate occasions in July and August of last year.

If convicted, Davis faces up to 10 years in prison for each count and fines up to $250,000.
