CRAWFORD COUTNY, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A 29-year-old St. Louis man was killed and his 5-year-old daughter was seriously injured after he lost control of his vehicle on a Crawford County roadway Wednesday night.
Authorities said the accident happened around 9:15 p.m. near the intersection of Route H and Cave Road, about five miles east of Leasburg, Missouri.
The driver, Aaron Frank, lost control of his SUV, left the roadway, struck two road signs and then hit a tree. Frank was taken to an area hospital where he later died.
Frank’s daughter Hadleigh suffered serious injuries in the wreck and was flown by Arch Helicopter to Cardinal Glennon Hospital. Although her injuries were considered serious, there's no word on her condition.
Authorities said they do not know the cause of the accident.
According to reports, both occupants were wearing seatbelts.
