ST. LOUIS (BaseballStL) – The seven innings that Kyle Lohse pitched on Wednesday marked 20-straight games that a Cardinals starter pitched at least six innings in a game.

The last time a Cardinals starter did not pitch at least six innings was against the Pittsburgh Pirates on June 30.  Lance Lynn lasted only five innings while allowing six runs in a 7-3 loss.

The team’s longest streak sits at 21-straight games which occurred in 2004.
