ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV) — Police in north St. Louis city are searching for a man who allegedly robbed three teen girls, forcing them to undress late Monday night.
Police say a black male approached three girls - ages 12, 16 and 17 – in the 4400 block of Elmbank around 11:45 p.m.
The suspect then reportedly pulled out a gun and demanded the girls’ cell phones.
“I just scared, it never happened to me before, to see this man pull a gun out, with my little sister out here,” said the 17-year-old, the 12-year-old’s older sister.
According to reports, the suspect fondled two of the girls’ breasts after forcing the teens to remove their shirts. The suspect then told the girls to completely undress, exposing their genitals.
He then fled the scene.
The 12-year-old described how scared she was during the ordeal.
“There was no quick reaction, you had nothing else to do just be scared,” she said. “He said if I ran he was going to shoot me.”
The mother of two of the girls says her daughters are fine physically but are mentally traumatized by the frightening ordeal.
“They’re shaken up and scared and nervous because they had to expose themselves and they’re young. It’s sad,” said Tanya Liggins.
Police say the suspect is in mid 20’s, about 5-feet-9-inches tall. He has a thin build, medium length braids and was wearing a black baseball cap. He was armed with a semi automatic handgun, according to police.
Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 1-866-371-TIPS.
