ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A two-story north St. Louis home was damaged Monday morning after fire consumed the second floor.
Authorities report firefighters were dispatched to the 4300 block of Enright Avenue around 3:30 a.m. in reference to the fire. When they arrived, they reported seeing smoke pouring from the second floor. As firefighters investigated further, they found flames.
A neighbor told News 4 the family was not home when the fire started.
The home is said to have suffered extensive fire damage on the second floor and water damage on the main floor.
There’s no word on what might have caused the fire.
