PINE LAWN, Mo. (KMOV.com) -- A Pine Lawn alderwoman was charged with assault on an officer Saturday night, just months after her son and other family members were arrested for breaking into a house.
Nakisha Ford was arrested in the 6100 block of Otto around 10 p.m.
Officials say police were performing a routine traffic stop in the area when people from a nearby house party began approaching an officer.
Police say the individuals, many of them Ford's family members, became unruly. Ford was arrested in the incident and charged with assaulting an officer.
Police officials have not released further information on the case.
In March, Ford's teenage son and other relatives were arrested for allegedly breaking into a neighboring home and stealing a laptop, books and pain medication.
