42-Year-old man shot at north St. Louis gas station

ST. LOUIS, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A 42-year-old man was shot after two men approached him in the parking lot of a north St. Louis gas station and started shooting.

Police said the shooting happened around 1:20 a.m. Friday morning at a the Phillips 66 station at the intersection of Goodfellow Boulevard and Lillian Avenue.

The victim told police he was at the gas station when two men approached him.  One suspect pulled out a gun and shot the victim in the leg.  After the confrontation, the suspects ran away.

Authorities said the victim’s injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.

St. Louis County Police dispatched a K-9 unit to help search for the suspects, but turned up nothing.

Police are not releasing any further information at this time.
