FAIRVIEW HEIGHTS, Ill. – Charges have been dropped against a Fairview Heights police officer who was accused of driving under the influence in March.
James Krummerich,47, was arrested on St. Patrick’s Day after being involved in a two-car wreck in the 900 block of North Illinois.
Police at the time said he appeared intoxicated and was initially charged with DUI.
In May, Krummrich did not have his license suspended in a separate hearing for the offense.
In that ruling, the judge claimed there was no credible evidence that Krummrich was drunk.
He has been an officer at the Fairview Heights Police Department for 15 years.
