ST. LOUIS (KMOV) -- Police are investigating a trio of assaults that included two shootings and a stabbing within approximately five hours.
The first incident was around 7:10 p.m. on Jan. 1. Police said a 34-year-old female was standing with two other people in the 4500 block of Harris when they heard several gunshots and fell to the ground to take cover. While on the ground, the victim was shot in the leg. She was taken to a local hospital and listed as stable.
Witnesses reported observing an unknown suspect on foot firing several shots, then entering the rear driver's side door of a red Dodge Magnum. The suspect vehicle was then seen fleeing the scene south on Rosalie from Harris.
Less than an hour later, police said a 49-year-old man was standing in front of a residence in the 3500 block of Arkansas when two unknown suspects approached him. A verbal altercation began and one of the suspects stabbed the victim in the chest with an unknown object. The suspects ran north on Arkansas toward Potomac.
The victim was taken to a hospital and is in critical, but stable condition. The suspects are described as two African-American males in their 20s.
Around 12:56 a.m. on Jan. 2, an 18-year-old male was walking on the south sidewalk on 14th Street at Park when a black vehicle with tinted windows pulled alongside him. The front passenger yelled something and when the victim turned to look, the suspect fired several shots at him. The vehicle went south on 14th.
The victim is listed as stable.
All three incidents are under investigation.
