ATLANTA (CBS46) - Chicken chain Chick-fil-A is monitoring a potential data breach at a number of restaurants.
The company said Wednesday they have received several reports of possible unusual activity involving payment cards at some of their restaurants. They received an initial report about the situation on Friday, Dec. 19.
They assured customers they are working with IT security firms and law enforcement to determine what happened.
Chick-fil-A said if a breach did in fact happen, customers will not be responsible for any fraudulent charges on their accounts. They also said they will pay for free identity protection services, including credit monitoring, if any customers are impacted.
