(HockeyStL) - St. Louis Blues President of Hockey Operations and General Manager Doug Armstrong announced Tuesday that goaltender Brian Elliot has been activated from injured reserve.
According to Blues' beatwriter Jeremy Rutherford, Elliot, who has been out since Nov. 25 with a lower-body injury, will start Tuesday against the Nashville Predators.

In his absence, the Blues signed veteran goaltender Martin Brodeur to split goaltending duties with Jake Allen.
The Blues have gone 8-6 since the Elliot injury, but have lost four of their last five games and have struggled in the net, allowing 18 goals in those four losses.
No announcement has been made on the future of Brodeur, who earned the 125th shutout of his career Monday.
