ST. LOUIS (KMOV) -- The St. Louis Circuit Attorney's Office has issued warrants for the arrest of Dominic Irons, 29, for 2nd degree murder, 1st degree assault, two counts of armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon.

A $500,000 cash-only bond has been issued.

Irons is the suspect in the death of Terrell Beasley, 28, who was found shot twice and burned in the back seat of a vehicle on Dec. 19.

Earlier that day, Irons is accused of shooting an off-duty police officer in the 3800 block of N. 25th Street on Dec. 19. The officer was struck multiple times in his lower extremeties while inside his personal vehicle. He was taken to a local hospital and listed in critical, but stable condition.

Irons has a lengthy criminal history, including violence to a Department of Corrections inmate, seven counts of vehicle theft, one attempt to steal a car, property damage and credit card theft.
