KANSAS CITY, Mo.--Two Kansas City girls received quite a scare when thieves broke into their house while they were home alone.
The girls, ages 9 and 13, said their parents had left the house when the crooks kicked in their back door.
When the girls heard the noise, they ran to their parent's room and hid in the closet and as the crooks rummaged through the house, the older sister called 911.
"When we were in the closet I was praying," said Rhea Akula, one of the sisters. "I made a bet that I would never fight with my sister again."
The thieves ran off as police arrived and investigators are still looking for them.
The sisters said they often talked with their parents and had a plan if something bad happened.
