ST. LOUIS, Mo.--St. Louis Police are investigating the third homicide of Christmas Eve.
According to authorities, a man in his mid-20's, now identified as Courtney Williams, was found shot to death near Cates and North Kingshighway in north St. Louis.
Officers arrived to the scene to find Williams in a vehicle that crashed into a retaining wall.
Williams suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was transported to the hospital, but was pronounced dead at the hospital.
An additional male victim, who was sitting in the passenger seat of the vehicle, was not struck by gunfire, but suffered minor injuries from the car accident. He was also transported to the hospital, where he was listed as stable.
According to authorities, the second victim stated that three black males shot at the vehicle as they attempted top make a U-turn.
Officers say the man was shot multiple times, but no other details are currently available. An investigation into the incident is ongoing.
