East St. Louis man previously convicted of murder set free

EAST ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – An East St. Louis man who was previously convicted of first degree murder has been set free.

William Cosby, 30, was granted a new trial after the drug scandal involving former St. Clair County Judge Michael Cook.

A jury acquitted Cosby on Friday.

Cosby was originally convicted for the death of Antwan Thomas who was shot and killed outside an East St. Louis bar in April of 2012.
