ST. LOUIS (KMOV) -- St. Louis Police are investigating a pair of overnight shootings.
Around 11:20 p.m. Friday, police report that a 72-year-old man was shot in the stomach during a robbery on N. Broadway. He is listed in critical, but stable condition.
Police said the victim was entering his vehicle when he was approached by the armed suspect, described as an African-American male in his mid-20s, wearing a black leather jacket, a dark shirt and dark-colored pants.
The suspect pulled the door the victim's door open as he was attempting to get in. The victim gave the suspect money, at which point the suspect shot him in the lower abdomen and fled on foot.
The second shooting happened just after 11:30 p.m. on Goodfellow near Natural Bridge.
A male victim drove himself to the hospital, but there is no report on what led up to the shooting. The victim is expected to recover and police are looking for suspects in both cases.
Police said the incident occurred in the 5750 block of Goodfellow. The victim is a 28-year-old male who was at a gas station. The suspect, described as an African-American male in his mid-20s with dreadlocks, approached the victim and began shooting at him. The victim was shot in the buttocks and conveyed by a friend to a local hospital.
