NASHVILLE, TN (WSMV) - A man was injured after he said his roommate attacked him with a sword.
According to the victim, he was playing video games at their home on Baltic Drive on Thursday night when his roommate, Frederick Patterson, started poking him with the sword and yelling at him.
The victim said he fought back to defend himself, which is when he cut his right hand as he tried to disarm Patterson.
According to the affidavit, 43-year-old Patterson admitted to arguing with the victim and picking up his sword.
Patterson's wife told police that he was yelling and acting aggressive toward the victim.
Police say the victim did not want to prosecute.
Patterson is charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Bond was set at $5,000.
