ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – Authorities are investigating after two armed robberies occurred 30 minutes apart in North County early Wednesday morning.

The first happened at 1:00 a.m. at the Circle K in the 11200 block of Old St. Charles Road in Bridgeton. Police say the suspect held a customer at gunpoint before demanding money from the store’s cash register. The suspect took $57 from the store.

Thirty minutes later, a 7- Eleven in the 4300 block of Woodson Road in Woodson Terrace was robbed.

The suspect in the 7- Eleven robbery fled the scene on foot and was last seen near a church. Authorities dispatched a K-9 unit to search for the man but the search was unsuccessful.

Authorities have not said if they believe the crimes are connected but they say the suspect in both robberies was wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt and sunglasses.
