BELLEVILLE, Ill. (KMOV.com) – Police have a man in custody suspected of setting three fires in Belleville, Illinois last week.

A vehicle, a building and the outside of a home were set on fire between 6:08 and 7:19 a.m. on December 9. Police have charged Aaron J. Eldredge, 26, with one count of attempted aggravated arson, residential arson and one count of arson for the allegedly setting the fires.

Surveillance video from local businesses and the involvement of the community played a large part in identifying Eldredge as the suspect, police say. Eldredge was taken into police custody without incident on Saturday.

Eldredge is currently being held on a $75,000 bond at the St. Clair County Jail.
