ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – A teenager was killed in a double shooting in south St. Louis Monday afternoon.

Police say the suspect fired several shots at 16-year-old Chelsea Harris and an 18-year-old boy as they got out of a vehicle in the 4600 block of Dewey.

Following the shooting, Harris made it into a home, where she collapsed. The boy is listed in critical but stable condition. The suspect fled the scene on foot.

Harris was pronounced dead at a local hospital a short time after the shooting.

The suspect is described as a black male, between 17 and 18-years-old, 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-6 and 125 to 130 pounds. Police say the suspect has a low fade haircut with deep natural waves and sideburns. The suspect was wearing a white t-shirt, red shirt, blue and gold jacket, high top Nike Forces sneakers and khaki pants at the time of the shooting.

The suspect is armed with a silver gun, according to police.
