Warrants issued for Family Dollar robber that fired a shot

(KMOV) -- Warrants have been issued for a 37-year-old St. Louis man who allegedly robbed a Family Dollar at 3636 S. Grand Boulevard on Thursday.

Police allege that Alonzo Boyd entered the store around 10:30 a.m., fired one shot and took money from the business cash register before fleeing. Authorities located Boyd and took him into custody. His gun and the stolen money were recovered.  

Boyd is charged with 1st degree robbery, armed criminal action, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon, resisting/interfering with arrest and possession of marijuana. 

A $200,000 cash-only bond has been issued.
