Cardinals holding pre-game pep rally, ceremony before NLCS Game 5

(BaseballSTL) – The St. Louis Cardinals have a chance to clinch another World Series berth in Game 3 of the NLCS on Friday, and the team is throwing a pep rally to celebrate.

The Cardinals Official Pre-Game Pep Rally will be held from 4:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Ballpark Village, located at the intersection of Clark and Broadway.

The event will feature live music and appearance from Cards’ alumni and Fredbird.

Fans will also have the opportunity to take photos with the 2011 World Series Trophy.

Rally towels will be given to the first 42,000 fans when they enter Busch Stadium. Gates open at 5 p.m.

A pregame ceremony featuring the Budweiser Clydesdales will start at 6:30 p.m. ‘Glee’ star Matthew Morrison will sing the National Anthem.

The Cardinals have a 3-1 series lead over the San Francisco Giants and can clinch back-to-back World Series appearances with a win.

First pitch is scheduled for 7:07 p.m.
