Mother accused of forcing 13-year-old daughter to beat up classmate

HOUSTON — A Crosby mom drove her 13-year-old daughter to another girl’s home and ordered her to beat up the child, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.

Kimberly Nicole Holleman, 38, was arrested Wednesday morning and charged with felony injury to a child.

The whole thing started Saturday night when the girls got into an argument over a boy. Holleman claims the victim’s boyfriend then jumped into the middle of the fray.

"A boy hit her when they came over here. A boy hit my daughter," Holleman told KHOU 11 News Wednesday after she was arrested and handcuffed.

Holleman, her daughter and a few men later showed up at the victim’s home.

Witnesses said they heard Holleman tell her daughter, "You need to kick her [expletive]."

"This mother that was there seemed to be instigating the whole fight," said David Staggs, who tried to break up the fight.

Witnesses said Holleman’s daughter knocked the other girl to the ground, and then began punching her and pulling her hair while a crowd watched.

"She told her daughter to, ‘Get her, get her,’" said the victim's mom, who didn’t want to be identified.

Staggs finally broke up the fight.

"I just told her, ‘Really? Over teenage drama you brought your daughter to have a fight and promote it with a bunch of young men that you brought here who obviously also want to fight,’" Staggs said.

Holleman denies that she was egging her daughter on.

"I didn’t tell my daughter to fight. They came to my house first and fought. I didn’t tell my daughter to fight," Holleman said.

The victim's mother was stunned by the whole thing.

"I’m blown away by this because; I mean… what kind of mother would put that on her child?"

The victim said she's now worried.

"I didn’t feel safe,” she said. “(I’m) just scared that they're going to come back at me or something."

Deputies were called to the scene. The victim is bruised and battered but didn’t require medical treatment.

Holleman is being held on a $5,000 bond. It's not clear if her daughter will be charged.
