WENTZVILLE, Mo. (KMOV.com) – A teenager has been arrested following a robbery at a Wentzville house on Monday afternoon.
According to police, residents of a house located in the 400 block of Wilson reported two men entered the basement of the house, displayed a silver pistol and demanded money. One of the residents refused to comply with the suspects’ demands and was struck on the head with the butt of the gun multiple times. The suspects took $40 and fled the area.
A teenager, who stayed overnight at the house, met the two suspects at the front door and let them into the house, according to the police report. Joseph French, 18, then directed the suspects to the basement where the robbery occurred.
French fled the scene with the two suspects, but was later taken into custody by police.
He has been charged with one count of first degree robbery and two counts of first degree attempted robbery. His bond has been set at $50,000.
