MADISON COUNTY, Ill. (KMOV) – A man and woman from Alton were arrested and charged this week for allegedly breaking into a Godfrey home and stealing several valuables in mid-September.
Christopher Lewis, 29, was charged with two counts of residential burglary. Baylee Nicolini, 18, faces one residential burglary charge.
According to police, Lewis and Nicoline broke into a home in the 4900 block of Paris Drive on September 18. Police said they stole jewelry, currency and prescription drugs.
Lewis was located on Sunday in the 320 block of Tara Court in Alton, Illinois. He was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant and transported to the Madison County Jail.
Police said they located Nicolini Tuesday morning at another home in Alton. She was transported to the Madison County Jaile, where she was held pending charges.
Authorities said they recovered some of the jewelry stolen from the home.
According to police, Lewis was linked to another home burglary that happened later in September.
Both suspects were being held on a $100,000 bond.
