COLLINSVILLE, Ill. (KMOV) – Two men were in custody after they allegedly beat a 55-year-old for no reason inside a Collinsville bar earlier this month.

David Anderson, 24, and Douglas Totty, 23, were both charged with felony aggravated battery.

According to witnesses, Anderson and Totty attacked the victim at Ardie and Tiny’s Bar in the 100 block of Joe Street on October 7.

Witnesses said the suspects were unprovoked when they knocked the man to the ground and began kicking and stomping him.

The suspects then fled the scene, according to deputies.

The victim was transported to a St. Louis-area hospital, where he was treated for multiple fractures in the face. He was projected to make a full recovery, deputies said.

Deputies identified Anderson and Totty as suspects and arrested them on Friday.

Bonds for each man were set at $25,000. Anderson has since posted bond and been released from custody, while Totty remains at the Madison County Jail.
