ST. LOUIS (KMOV.com) – A woman was wounded Monday night just after 9 p.m. when someone outside her home started shooting.
Police say the 57-year-old was in her home on College Avenue between Carter and West Florissant when she heard gunfire outside.
She said she stood up to see what was going on and a bullet came through a window and struck her in the shoulder. An 18-year-old male was also struck in the shoulder. Police did not say if the 18-year-old was inside or outside the home during the shooting.
Police say the suspects were seen in a white Chevrolet Impala. One suspect is described as a black male wearing all black. He was reportedly armed with a weapon sitting in the back seat. A witness noticed the car pull up and the shooter open fire as it drove by the vicitm's house.
The female victim was taken to an area hospital where she is stable. The male victim left the hospital without treatment.
Police say they are looking for the suspect vehicle and it may have bullet holes in it.
