WASHINGTON COUNTY, Ill. (KMOV) – Authorities have identified the second of two bodies found less than three weeks apart along Interstate 64 in Washington County, Illinois.
The body has been identified as 47-year-old Darryl Jackson.
Authorities said Jackson was the victim of foul play and his death his being investigated as a homicide.
No other details were released surrounding his death.
Jackson’s body was found Tuesday on the southbound side of Interstate 64 at mile marker 40 near Oakawville.
He was found along the same stretch of highway 29-year-old Kelvin Swingler was discovered on September 23.
Authorities are also treating Swinger’s death as a homicide, but they would not confirm whether they believe the bodies were connected.
Several different agencies are now assisting in the investigation, including the St. Louis Police Department.
