ST. LOUIS (KMOV) -- St. Louis residents can take their Christmas tree to one of three city parks to be recycled beginning Monday.
Residents can drop their trees off at Carondelet Park (South Grand Boulevard and Holly Hills Avenue), Forest Park (Lower Muny Opera parking lot) and O'Fallon Park (West Florissant and Holly avenues).
Trees will be accepted at the sites from Dec. 28 through Jan. 15.
The city said the trees must be free of all decorations, including ornaments, tinsel, lights, and tree stand.
Wreaths and pine roping will not be accepted at the sites.
