In a town that averages about 10-12 robberies a year, Creve Coeur police are sounding the alarm following three robberies this week.
Two of the robberies occurred in parking lots of apartment complexes. On Sunday, a robber held up a man unloading a Christmas tree from his car. The robber pointed a silver handgun at the victim and demanded the victim's wallet. The victim told me the robber didn't make any attempts to conceal his face and seemed calm - standing about 7 feet away and telling the victim to throw his wallet.
On Monday, there was another robbery at an apartment complex in the 13000 block of Tiger Lily in St. Louis County (just outside the Creve Coeur city limits).
Tuesday night, a robber held up a clerk and customer inside an AT&T store on Lindbergh, near Bauer Blvd.
All three robberies happened between 6 p.m. and 7 p.m.
The victims reported a similar description: black man, between 5'7" and 5'9", 22-28 years old, using a silver handgun.
One victim reported that he robber got into a silver or gray minivan.
