ST. LOUIS (AP) -- A former St. Louis police officer has pleaded guilty to federal charges for stealing stolen merchandise after an arrest.
The officer, 58-year-old Ronald Jackson, entered the guilty plea Thursday to one count of theft of U.S. property. Sentencing is March 12.
Jackson and another officer, 25-year-old Christian Brezill, were indicted in October and accused of stealing a computer, television and other merchandise during a traffic arrest. The arrest occurred in July. The person arrested was cooperating with authorities.
The department said Brezill has been fired and Jackson retired.
