Attorney General Chris Koster is the latest person to warn Missourians about signing up for extended auto warranties. This issue is very top of the mind for the Attorney General because his office is investigating US Fidelis, the extended auto warranty company that laid off more than 200 people this week. Koster would say much about his investigation other than he’s under the impression that extended auto warranty companies are defrauding Missourians.
He told me that all Missourians should be careful about signing up for these programs. I also asked him when we could see some movement from his office on this issue and he said a matter of weeks.
Earlier this week we heard that the Federal Government maybe investigating US Fidelis. News 4 called the FBI and were told agents could not confirm or deny that claim.
