Two St. Louis teenagers have been charged with robbery, armed criminal action and tampering after attempting to rob a South County restaurant.
Authorities say Aaron Johnson, 19, and Kammeron Davis, also 19, robbed a Penn Station restaurant in South St. Louis County on Saturday. One of the men entered the restaurant with a gun and demanded money from the clerk, police say. A second employee tried to escape out a back door, but was stopped by the other gunman, according to police.
Police say the two men then fled the scene in a stolen car and drove on Interstate 55 before they crashed in St. Louis city.
They were arrested shortly after and police found two handguns, cash and a lock box in the car.
